Investment Strategies
The purpose of our program is to help you build an investment portfolio that helps you reach your goals of financial independence and security.
Before investing you need to have a clear concept of what you are trying to accomplish with your investments. You need parameters that will help develop stategies. A starting point is to develop a profile of your present financial situation and where you would like your investments to take you. You can start by asking yourself some revealing questions. For example:
Where are you? What's your Net Worth? Do you have your financial statements prepared - - balance sheet, income statement or cash flow statement?
Where do you want to be?
What are your goals?
Do you desire financial independence?
Have you started an investment portfolio?
Some insights:
Stocks win over the long run. Stocks beat almost every class of investment over the long run. But real estate is a close second. These are relatively passive investments. They also run in cycles. For example, the stock market may be flat for several years and real estate may be booming or it can be reversed with the stock market on fire and real estate stagnate. Seldom do the two markets win at the same time. For creating wealth, building a business can be one of the quickest ways to obtain wealth. The IFI Strategy includes all three forms of investment: Stocks, Real Estate, and Owning a Business.
When billionaire and author Warren Buffett invests he buys the business. In other words, he knows as much about the business as possible, including its future sales and profitability potential. The famous former manager of the Fidelity Magellan fund, Peter Lynch also advocates knowing the company. This is great advice and a great place to start. Be sure to diversify and research further before investing.
